AIT Satellite Engineer

Job Profile

* The AIT Shift lead shall –
* Advance alternative work to minimise downtime when tasks are disrupted,
* Carry out pre/post shift handover documentation
* Lead SQCDP meetings
* Prepare operational work plan/documentation
* Ensure correct H&S practices are adhered to in the clean room
* Co-ordinating test for critical integrations (Solar arrays, deployments)
* Co-ordinating critical systems tests (mechanical/electrical )
* Shifts will be a combination of days, earlies and lates (and possibly nights) within a reasonable period of notice
* Opportunity for working on other UK and overseas sites

Skills/Experience Required

Essential –

* Satellite build experience
* Leadership experience
* Manufacturing engineering knowledge

Desirable –

* Use of digital manufacturing execution tools
* Deployment of Satellite Solar Arrays
* Deployment of Satellite Antennas using Helium Balloon

Target Industries –

Education & Training

Essential –

* Strong experience in a similar role is key for this post

Desirable –

* HNC / Degree

Working Pattern

* A blend of – Monday to Friday day and early/late shifts

20% rate uplift during times of shift working

Travel

* Occasional travel to other UK and overseas sites

Extension

* Possible extension after initial contract duration
