Contract Avionic Design Engineer – West Sussex – Competitive Hourly Rate based on experience – Initial 3 Months Ltd Company Contract
A specialist Aerospace Design and Installation organisation is seeking an Avionic Design Engineer on initial Ltd company 3-month contract basis, to help them deliver engineering solutions for fixed wing and rotary aircraft.
The successful Contract Avionic Design Engineer will be responsible for the production of AutoCAD drawings for loom manufacture, assembly and installation drawings, as well as working with the engineering team to develop EASA/CAA and MoD approved design changes for a wide range of helicopters and fixed wing aircraft. The successful candidate will possess an understanding of electrical design techniques, OEM specific standard and certification procedures.
Other responsibilities will include; assisting in preparing design certification documentation, working up to CS29 standards, assisting in the development of new system designs, attending design review meetings as required, travelling within the UK or Abroad when required and support the engineering department’s objectives.
In order to be considered for this opportunity, candidates must have avionics design experience as well as experience in producing Avionic design drawings using AutoCAD or a similar package. In addition to this, candidates need to have the ability to solve Avionic / System challenges. It would be advantageous for candidates to have experience working with small aircraft and helicopters. It is preferred that candidates hold a formal qualification i.e. HNC / HND or degree in an engineering-based subject, however relevant experience will be considered. Candidates must be prepared to undergo UK security clearance checks.
This opportunity is based in West Sussex and is commutable from London, Croydon, Maidstone, Eastbourne, Brighton, Worthing, Portsmouth, Southampton, Basingstoke, Reading and other locations within the West Sussex, Sussex, Hampshire and the South East regions.
