Contract Programme Manager – Dorset – Negotiable Hourly Rate (12 month Ltd contract)
A leading electro-mechanical special purpose machinery company based in Dorset is seeking a Contract Programme Manager to join them for as 12 month term to take a £multi-million programme from R&D to completion.
Working within a low volume environment, the successful candidate will be responsible for full project lifecycle management of a valuable programme. Initially engaging with R&D to ensure design and verification is achieved, the responsibility will then focus on the transition of technically complex products into production before shipping them to the USA, installing at the customer site, and finally providing a level of after care. Other responsibilities include the establishing and management of a robust supply chain, utlisation of internal cross functional teams in order to achieve milestones and efficiencies, as well as complete financial management for the entire programme.
In order to be considered for this opportunity, candidates must have proven Programme/Project management experience within a relevant manufacturing engineering environment. APM/Prince 2 qualifications are advantageous as would be a degree in a technically focused or business management discipline.
This role would require an initial presence on site in Dorset due to the nature of the R&D element of the Programme, yet there is flexibility regarding remote working where feasible.
This role is commutable from from Poole, Bournemouth, Yeovil, Dorchester, Weymouth, Wimborne, and other areas within Dorset, Somerset and the South Coast.
