Permanent – Up to £60,000 per annum

A globally recognised leading manufacture of environmentally sealed connectors and components, are actively looking for their next Engineering Manager. With close to a century of experience within the industry, the business continues to innovate, develop and service products for customers across the globe, in a range of markets.

With ambitious plans for NPI and global sales to increase, this presents an amazing opportunity and time to join the company as an Engineering Manager!

Scope of the Role
This position will work within the Engineering group and be responsible for providing support for various NPD programmes, as well as maintenance of existing products in the market. You will manage all activities of the Engineering team, oversee configuration control support and be part of product qualification and approvals.

Responsibilities of the Role
Although a largely diverse position, specific responsibilities include:
-Delivering New Product Developments
-Managing 3D design/drawings using Creo and SolidWorks
-Maintain and manage drawings configurations
-Managing product approvals for new products and maintenance of existing products

Essential Background and Experience
-Educated to degree level, MEng in Mechanical Engineering or relevant discipline (MSc/PhD desirable)
-Experience in SolidWorks and Creo
-Plastics moulding experience
-New product development experience
-Understanding of Electronics would be a major advantage
-Knowledge of Design process
-Consultancy type background, working for outside customers/clients
