IT Infrastructure Project Manager

Infrastructure Project Manager – London – £100,000

One of my largest clients – a world renowned financial institution – is looking for a Project Manager to join their London office to take the lead on a number of key IT and Infrastructure related projects.

Based in London and working closely with the entire IT department – from DevOps to Security, Engineers to Architects – you’ll take the lead on a number of agile working projects with budgets of up to £15million to implement and improve new technical solutions across the business.

What will I do?

* Build strong relationships with key stakeholders – within IT, Finance and the wider business
* Work closely with their Portfolio Manager and Practice teams to ensure their project portfolio ties into, and delivers, accepted strategy and business goals
* Monitor and report on progress, delivering updates to the board as needed whilst leading multi-disciplinary teams
* Lead the end to end project – from planning to execution to continuous improvement
* Provide financial analysis – using financial data to drive business activity, ensuring budgets and financial process are adhered to
* Own the identification and escalation of any risks – budgetary, compliance or otherwise – and ensure remediation activity is conducted
* Effectively handover projects to BAU when ready to ensure benefits are realised

What should my background look like?

* Outstanding project and programme management experience; with top drawer communication, decision making, problem solving and analytical skills
* In depth project/programme management knowledge – including both Waterfall and Agile
* You should have worked on large scale IT change and transformation projects, with good awareness of key technologies and challenges in this space
* Ability to lead and manage teams, with a proven track record of success
* A financial background, and the ability to use technology to help a financial business achieve it goals and overcome challenges
* A passion for excellence, and experience driving continuous improvement programmes
* Demonstrated ability to form relationships from C level downwards, to communicate with these stakeholders in their own language and challenging assumptions where necessary
