Maintenance Engineer (Nights) – Hampshire – Permanent – £Highly Competitive
As a Maintenance Technician you will be responsible for resolving equipment failures, carrying out planned and unplanned engineering tasks in a responsive and effective manner. Pro-active team working with peers, the customer and other support groups is essential within this role to continually improve equipment reliability and performance.
Breakdown response. Mechanical/Electrical fault diagnosis and investigation;
Line ownership with planned and preventative maintenance;
Continual improvement of machine performance using LEAN techniques to provide the best possible equipment availability for delivering production needs;
Equipment repairs and refurbishments;
Working in a safe, compliant manner with completion of associated documentation.
Interested candidates should possess the following:
Recognised Apprenticeship in relevant discipline
Qualified to NVQ Level 3 or similar in relevant engineering subject
A career background in a high-speed production environment such as packaging, pharmaceutical, food, process or similar
Ability to make sound judgements and prioritise multiple requests
Sound knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and maintenance skills
An understanding of electrics and pneumatics, accredited electrical/electronic/controls knowledge
Able to plan their own workload and time with sound fault diagnosis and problem solving methods to identify problems and there root causes
Ability to work in a pressurised environment with extended, flexible working hours
The position requires covering a 4on, 4off shift pattern (permanent nights 7 – 7) and offers a highly competitive salary, shift allowance and benefits to include pension, life assurance and 22 days holiday + bank holidays.
