Mechanical Test and Development Engineer, Coventry, Competitive Salary Based on experience

A global organisation is seeking a Mechanical Test and Development Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis to work at their site in Coventry. Working within a complex engineering environment the Mechanical Test and Development Engineer will be responsible for performing product tests as well as analysing and reporting test results on bespoke products. Other responsibilities include; Conducting a wide range of mechanical product tests including Crash, Fatigue, Static, Durability, thermal and environmental; Documenting test procedures clearly and concisely; Ensure accurate record test information and maintain test documentation; Extract, process and analyse raw test data and manipulate as required; Design test set-ups and rigs including control and data acquisition using appropriate tools i.e. Matlab, Labview, DASYlab etc; Monitor test rig condition for safety and performance; Drive continuous improvement in all laboratory equipment.

In order to be considered for this position candidates need to have proven experience in PFMEA’s. In addition to this candidate need to have proven Mechanical / Product test background and as such have experience conducting and analysing tests such as Strength, Static, Durability, Thermal, Crash or environmental. It would be advantageous to have experience / knowledge in any of the following areas: working to QS 9001 / ISO17025 standards, understanding of hydraulics, experience in using software such as Matlab, Labview or DASYlab etc, New Product Introduction (NPI)

The position of Mechanical Test and Development Engineer is commutable from Birmingham, Coventry, Leamington Spa, Rugby, Warwick, Bedworth and other areas within Warwickshire and the West Midlands.
