Mid Weight / Senior Java Developer

Mid-weight or Senior Java Developer – Beeston – Up to £60k + 10% bonus + car allowance – Permanent

We are currently looking for a Mid-Weight or Senior Java Developer to work for a leader in digital services. They have circa 120,000 employees across 73 different countries serving a global client base. They provide Big Data & Cyber security solutions; Manager Services & BPO; Cloud Operations; Consulting & Systems Integration; and transactional services.

This person will be working on Code and unit test enhancements to an existing JEE Web based application. They will be creating and reviewing low level designs; providing mentorship and code review for the team; creating and updating automated test scripts; liaising with customers to support customer test cycles; liaising with second line to support release of code changes into pre-production and production environments; and liaising with third line to provide early life support for code changes going into production.

Essential Background/Skills:
· Considerable Java development experience with JEE
· Experience with Front End Development (HTML, JavaScript, CSS etc)
· Experience with relational databases

Desirable background/skills:
· Experience managing Linux Based Servers and Build Tools such as Jenkins, Jenkin Pipeline, Sonar and Nexus
· Experience with Configuration management tools – e.g. Puppet, Chef, Ansible
Experience with the following technologies:
· CDI or Spring
· Hibernate/JPA
· Cucumber JVM/Gherkin (or similar based technologies)
· Apache Camel
· Maven
· Gradle
· JBoss EAP 7
· MySQL Enterprise
· JMeter
· Swagger/Swagger Code Gen
· Junit/DBUnit
· RTC
