Stream Resourcing are working with a market leading client and we are looking for an experienced Production Support Engineer to join their team. This is an opportunity to join a well established organisation who are flourishing in a prolonged period of sustained, organic growth.
Key Responsibilities

* Providing technical support for product and test systems
* Prioritise and resolve critical manufacturing issues within reasonable time-frame
* Ensure that all instruments are calibrated and arrange for calibration with Vendors whenever necessary
* To dispose production technical requests in timely manner
* Support other new product introductions as necessary (PRM, DCFO etc)
* Develop and maintain good communication lines with development engineers
* Make improvements to existing test stations, cabling, cable marking, design simple power, and communication switching devices
* Maintain a ‘clean and lean’ working environment with proper tooling; procuring necessary tools and sundries, as required
* Build, validate and commission test stations
* Develop and maintain technical documentations
* Ensure that test systems maintenance procedures are followed, with proper paperwork and logbooks up to date
* Participate in analysis and debug of Field returns

Desired Skills/Experience

* Knowledge of Optical/Transmission manufacturing (essential), with a knowledge of Electrical Engineering
* Knowledge of optical components, optical measurements, optical instruments and basic optical principles
* Understanding of Lean Six Sigma and believing in Lean culture/working environment
* Fault finding in Electronic assemblies
* Experience in automated assembly and test measurement processes
* Data analysis, graphs, histograms plotting and other relevant statistical tools
* Working in a high reliability product manufacturing environment
* Experience in printed circuit board manufacturing
