Production Engineer (NPI), Coventry, Competitive Salary Based on Experience
A global organisation is seeking a Process Engineer (NPI) to join their team on a permanent basis to work at their site in Coventry.
Working in complex engineering environment the Process (NPI) Engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing and continuously improving the manufacturing processes associated with the production of the company’s new market leading products from inception through to start up and certification.
Other responsibilities include; Continuously lead work on identifying and implementing solutions to improve manufacturing processes whilst reducing costs; Conducting PFMEA’s to assess machining function; Performing PFMEA’s; Design, run test and upgrade systems; Creation of new / modification of existing NC programs for both Turning and Milling CNC machines; Ensuring all manufacturing process routings / timings are optimised to coincide with NPI time plans, loaded and controlled within the local MRP system; Actively support Engineering change requests; Liaising with wider NPI team to achieve targets; Timely resolution of manufacturing issues through robust and effective root cause analysis, including implementation of permanent and preventative corrective actions.
In order to be considered for this position candidates need to have proven experience recommending and process / continuous improvements within a machining / machined components environment, and as such have experience in performing PFMEA’s.
It would be advantageous to have the knowledge / experience of creating NC programs for Milled / Turned components; CAM experience i.e. EdgeCam, Delcam or FastCam; CAD experience i.e. Solidworks, Inventor, Creo etc; Machining, HNC level or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering; New Product Introduction (NPI).
