Shift Maintenance Engineer – Castle Donington – Permanent – £43,000
This is an excellent opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer to take on a new challenge with a global automation specialist. You’ll be working with state-of-the-art automation machinery within a high-volume distribution environment where you’ll be applying your trade across a wide range of plant including fully automated retrieval systems, cranes & conveying machinery.
The Shift Engineer will effectively solve mechanical and electrical faults and provide planned, preventative maintenance to ensure maximum availability of machinery. You’ll take ownership of breakdowns, ensuring remedial action and future preventative measures are in place.
A good working knowledge of mechanical engineering is required as you will be encountering a range of machinery involving gears, belt drives and pneumatics including the strip down/rebuild of mechanical components.
To be considered for this opportunity you will be apprentice trained and qualified to at least NVQ/BTEC Level 3 standard in Engineering or equivalent.
Mechanically biased engineers will require electrical certification and experience of working on 3 phase/415v electrics such as motors, drives and inverters as well control panels and PLC fault diagnosis.
Previous experience within a fast-moving production environment such as Food, Consumer Goods, Pharmaceutical, Automotive, Medical Devices or Warehouse Automation Systems is key.
A salary of £43,000 is on offer (including Shift premium) and involves working on a 12hr days & nights shift rotation.
