Permanent, £30,000 – £40,000 per annum plus benefits

A global, industry-leading, and innovative organisation is currently seeking a proactive and reliable Supplier Development Engineer, on a permanent basis, to work within their European Headquarters based in Cheshire.

The successful Supplier Development Engineer will be principally responsible for the development of a best-in-class global supply base with an emphasis on achieving zero PPM. Working closely with suppliers as well as the manufacturing and engineering departments the successful candidate would be involved in both supporting new product launches as well as completing PPAP and APQP on current and new production components and assemblies. Additionally, one would take a leading role in new program development activities, working closely with the engineering department to review part/assembly related requirements from concept stage through to production. Furthermore, one would be required to support the purchasing endeavours in order to reduce/maintain costing and supply chain requirements.

In order to be considered for this opportunity candidates must have proven experience working within a component manufacturing environment in a similar position. Experience in the use of PPAP and APQP is also a necessity for the role. Furthermore, relevant experience in the development of manufacturing processes within an international supply base, a working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) and CQE certification would be advantageous. Whilst not a necessity, a Degree, HNC, HND, or equivalent in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or closely related disciple would be of a distinct advantage.

This position is based in Cheshire and is commutable from Liverpool, Runcorn, Northwich, Warrington, Chester, and other locations within the region.
