TEST AND ASSEMBLY TECHNICIAN – AEROSPACE (HYDROMECHANICAL)
BIRMINGHAM (WEST) – FULL-TIME – PERMANENT – £30,500

Stream Resourcing are working with a leading aerospace company and we are looking for an experience Test and Assembly Technician for a permanent role in Birmingham.

You will need to have experience of Hydromechanical assembly and will be used to working within a manufacturing environment. You will need to be mechanically minded and have experience of hydraulics or pumps. You will need to be able to use measuring equipment such as vernier calipers, micrometres, etc. as well as be able to read engineering drawings also. Experience of working in Aerospace is desirable, however we will consider those from other industries, where product quality must be at a rigorous standard.

Our client is a leading Aerospace company and their products are used in both commercial and defence aircraft. They produce a range of products for well-known aerospace companies. This position is working in a refurbishment facility in West Birmingham. Your role will be disassembly, replacing worn parts and those identified for replacement and then build the unit again. You would then test the unit before sending to quality for final sign off.

This is a permanent position and the starting salary £30,688.37 per annum. After your initial first few weeks, you will be working under a mentor and they will have the opportunity to work extra hours. You will work Monday to Friday and this is typically worked on early or late shifts. There is an opportunity to work nights also, if this works better for you.

Due to the nature of the business, a security check is required prior to start and does include a DBS check. We can also only consider applications from those eligible to work in the UK.
